Be Part of the Journey
For many, rowing will be about recovery, connection, and community.
For others, it may become something more—a challenge, a goal, a new direction.
And for a few, that journey may one day lead back to the ocean—taking on the same kind of challenge that started it all.
Because what began as one way to honor the fallen is now opening doors for others to discover what they are capable of.
Tame the Kraken was more than a campaign—it is a beacon of hope and healing. It represents the belief that through shared experience, teamwork, and purposeful challenge, people can rebuild, reconnect, and move forward.
At its core, this journey has always been about camaraderie—learning, growing, and overcoming challenges together. That same belief now drives Row to Recovery: an initiative designed to inspire and empower individuals, particularly veterans, to confront and overcome their own personal “Kraken.”
What started with an ocean crossing has become a new mission to create lasting impact. Through partnerships with aligned organizations, and the support of individuals, communities, and companies, we are raising awareness and resources to support mental health, address the effects of PTSD and traumatic brain injury, and provide meaningful pathways to recovery.
But this mission does not move forward alone.
We invite you to be part of it. Not as a spectator, but as a contributor to something bigger. Whether through supporting the cause, making a donation, getting involved in our programs, or simply helping spread the word—your role matters.
Together, we can help Row to Recovery reach its full potential—creating real, lasting change for those who need it most.
Stand with us as we continue this journey. Not just for the challenge, but for the impact it creates—on the water, and far beyond it.
